How We Ensure Sports Physical Therapy is Accessible
We understand that navigating healthcare insurance can be challenging, which is why we have an in-house insurance billing specialist ready to assist you. We’ll carefully review your insurance coverage to clarify exactly what your plan includes and what costs you’ll be responsible for. You’ll have a clear understanding of what to expect, with no surprises.
At The Physio Shop, we’re committed to making our healthcare services accessible to everyone. If you’re uninsured or underinsured, don’t let that stop you from getting the care you need. We offer an affordable cash pay plan for those without insurance because we believe everyone deserves excellent health and a high quality of life.

Frequently Asked Questions About Physical Therapy
If this is your first time visiting physical therapy, there’s no need to feel nervous. We’ll guide you through every step and make sure all your questions are answered. Please bring your insurance card (if applicable) and any relevant medical history. Be ready to discuss your condition and how it impacts your mobility. For your comfort, we recommend wearing loose, athletic clothing.
During your first session, your clinician will perform a thorough evaluation of your health and physical limitations. Based on this assessment, they will create a personalized care plan tailored to your specific needs. Our care plans often include medical interventions such as gait training, manual therapy, motor control training, neuromuscular facilitation and re-education, therapeutic exercises, and therapeutic activities.
Along with your physical therapy treatments in our clinic, we’ll provide you with exercises to do at home. Your clinician will make sure you understand how to properly perform these exercises before you leave. Doing your PT routine at home between sessions will support your progress and help you recover more quickly and effectively.
Once you’ve completed your sports physical therapy treatment, you’ll feel stronger and ready to tackle your next challenge! Many of our patients have been so pleased with their results that they wanted to continue working with their physical therapists. However, since physical therapy is a targeted intervention for specific impairments, it’s not meant for ongoing fitness training. That’s why we’ve developed additional programs that allow you to keep working with our expert clinicians at a more affordable cost than traditional physical therapy.
We highly recommend considering our Physio Training Program, which offers next-level personal training to help you achieve your fitness and athletic goals. You can also join our Sports Performance Program, available during the summer, where small groups of athletes train together under the guidance of our skilled clinicians to improve their performance.
